Promo: Love at First Sight for Smith/Grey

Occasionally, I come across a brand and my heart skips a beat. When Smith/Grey were brought to my attention it was love at first sight. With the merge of Scandinavian authenticity and British elegance, the romance of the handmade and the delightful combination of both a women's intuition and a man's ingenuity, the high-end jewelry brand are setting themselves up for infatuation. For who couldn't be bowled over by the delicately engraved and uniquely shaped pieces of wearable art offered up in a refined palette of rose gold, silver, old, plated silver and gold. What makes them so interesting is how they manage to evoke the same level of preciousness and luxury without the use of diamonds or rubys. The true craftsmanship and accomplishment here is that it is the material, the foundation, to the jewelry which takes center stage. It is this sense of honesty that banishes the premium brand of pretence. They say the pieces are 'designed with a sense of wonder inspired by memories, stories and traditions' as they draw on their surroundings which also provide a playful and whimsical element to the brand. The shinning gem, I think, being the Bulls&Roses collection which is all about contrasting elements of the wilderness. No longer is jewelry ostentatious, Smith/Grey make the designer feel familiar and wholesome without lacking in beauty. It is something as simple as their Marina's Rose Earrings; with a dangling thorn stem which weaves into the lobe framing the flower's face. It looks different, it looks considered and it looks fresh. My favorite is the stunning rose gold Ring With Tiny Roses and its intricate pattern. It has the sort of sophistication and prominence that would be perfect for an eternity or wedding ring. They have already been appreciated by the likes of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Hunger magazine so, if you want to invest in the next must have on every bloggers wishlist then look no further.
