Takuro Apparel

Tis' the season for giving and it is always nice to come across a great brand in the making. Takuro describe themselves as a company where quality and design meets ethical manufacturing. Takuro was founded as a means to solve a social injustice for widowed women in Nepal and provide them with a way to escape their destined outcast. Working closely in partnership with Women for Human Rights- Single Woman's Group they are ready to begin full scale production. With these ambitious women at their side Takuro produce rucksacks and cashmere scarfs retailing for £59 - £79. Engineering, equality and excellence intertwine here but nothing could be greatly achieved without the help of backers. It is things like this that are far more sustainable and economical than charity so I wish them every success. Spread some festive cheer early and donate here where you can also read the story behind this emerging venture.
