Luscious Lips and Brushes Galore

Since wearing more eyeshadow lately I decided it was time to buy some new eyeshadow brushes to help create the illusive smokey eye. When I saw this cute set from EcoTools with bamboo stems I thought they would make a great addition. The size makes them easy to fit into make-up bags of all shapes and sizes for when on the move but the smallness doesn't compromise their quality. It includes an angled brush for application in the crease, a large eye brush for quick all over coverage, a shading brush for blending, a very fine angled brush for using eyeshadow for liner or to define colour and a lip brush for applying lipstick. All in a nifty natural cotton and hemp carry case. An added extra is how the soft taklon bristles are 100% cruelty-free, something that makes the offering more desirable and kinder to the environment.  I got my set from TK Maxx for £4.99! I can't actually find this on their online website but I did see this great set of a mix of face and eye shadow brushes for under a tenner still.

I can't ever resist buying more lipwear if ever I did need more. I jumped on the Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss bandwagon and opted for their utterly delicious Glorious Grapefruit shade. The peachy pink nude is a highly pigmented creamy lipgloss without that annoying sticky residue. I like how slim the bottle is too! It makes for an ideal handbag companion. I also took advantage of their 3 for 2 offer in Superdrug with my Mum and bought the Maybelline Colour Sensational Coral Tonic which is a very warm pink or peachy red depending on how you look at it. But I would say it is far more pinky than peach. Like a vibrant warm rose colour. I liked how vivid this colour was and thought it would make for a nice evening lippy. However, I think it would equally rock as a show-stopping daytime lipstick paired with toned down eyes.

Lastly, I needed a new large barrel brush to blow dry hair curly and with volume. I saw this huge tapered brush in TK Maxx called You Curl by Conair for £4.99. It says that it creates soft, natural curls, holds heat better and the bristles promote shine. I am yet to try this badboy out but as soon as I test it out I shall report back. Have a great weekend!
