SOS Skin Therapy

Even though the cold and drying winter weather is behind us (kind of, it is the UK still) your skin can still yearn for some much needed intervention. That is where seriously good body and face creams come into play. So, here is my spring skin therapy treatments for all skin types.

Estee Lauder Daywear Plus - This multi protection, anti-oxidant cream is a lovely light moisturiser that comes with a fresh cucumber scent. The formula is a smoothing and soothing cream with the added bonus of SPF 15 which makes it ideal for the season. It is formulated for normal/combination skin but its gentle and calming qualities make it a good option for those prone to spots too. Just make sure to use other spot treating products alongside. It also defends against and diminishes the appearance of signs of premature ageing. Which makes it an investment in your skin's future.

Clinque All About Eyes Rich - This infamous eye cream has been one of Clinque's cornerstones. It is a rich and creamy consistency that applies silkily on the delicate eye area. It has the fragrance of coffee caffeine that isn't just for the nose, it is an ingredient that helps reduce dark circles and give radiance to the skin. It is something which any skin type can incorporate into their routine and with regular use could delay those fine lines. That is because it boosts natural collagen production and its soothing botanicals de-puffs at the same time.

Lancome Hydra Zen Nuit Neurocalm - This light night-time cream is delicate enough for even sensitive skin and aids skin's replenishing of moisture levels to awaken a relaxed and soft complexion come morning. This is definitely a feminine cream with floral notes of rose emitting from its almost emollient texture. A pleasant and calming product to de-stress skin and bring it back to its natural luminosity and suppleness. Apply the sister morning cream for 24/7 hydration and care.

Elizabeth Arden  Eight Hour Cream - This iconic favourite has to be a make-up artists best friends. Its multi functional properties make it a cupboard musthave and beauty staple. From abrasions and burns to scars and stretch marks this gel-like formula could feel equally at home in a medical bag. The potent smell is now synonymous with the product but for new users could be hard to get used to. But when it comes to soothing lips and keeping them supple and hydrated there is no better balm. It can even been used as a highlighter or wet-look lid. Mixed into foundations to give them more of a dewy appearance or used as an intensive moisturiser for super dry skin the options really are endless.

Clinque Deep Comfort Body Butter - All skin types can take advantage of this luxurious and intense hydrating cream but those with normal to dry will love it best. Its buttery formula penetrates deep down to plump and hydrate skin from within. But there is no slap, dash and done method here. This indulgent and thick cream takes time to work in and absorb so screams Sunday night pampering. It has a creamy classical and mature aroma that is very subtle and almost undetectable. For a whole body treat this cream leaves your skin looking healthy and feeling happy.
