BREAD AND BUTTER

The first Tradeshow I attended in Berlin  was Bread and Butter, probably one of the most well-known Tradeshows for industry professionals. Now, Bread and Butter is HUGE, the event is held in an old airport and takes up pretty much the entire building. Room after room the Tradeshow continues, all split up into different areas of style; Sport and Street, Street Fashion, Fashion Now, Style Society, Denim Base, Urban Superior, L.O.C.K and the Treasury.

My favourite being Street Fashion, Style Society and Urban Superior. These rooms really had a more creative and current vibe, with a mix of fresh and up-coming independent brands that have a feel of street-culture at the heart of their designs. The Style Society section was slightly different as this section was about designs that were understated and refined, more sophisticated and exclusive but still very much youthful and soulful. 

There was some really great brands but one that stood out from the rest was CLOSED 

Closed is an amazing brand, not only is their clothing fantastically young and modern but their ethos is bang on the money for today's economy. Their philosophy being that of form followed by function. Every piece has integrity; being made from fabrics with longevity and quality. The aesthetic is casual and 'lived in' something that is popular with lifestyle clothing. Just take a look at their website and the photographs below that are mini videos, very cool indeed.
