RETROSPHERE

Is anyone else bored of how vintage is always marketed in the same cliché way? Revolving around the twee and Grandma floral aesthetics found at jumble sales or fusty smelling warehouses with cluttered racks, heaving boxes and chaotic displays. The new, modern way to work vintage can be found at the cool online shop RETROSPHERE. The contrast of the clean, minimalist branding identity and refined retro stock is refreshing. Best of all, Retrosphere look at current fashion trends and tailor the retro garments they sell to fit which is a much more engaging and contemporary way to sell vintage fashion. There is something for all budgets too, as their stock matches those found on the high-street to more special vintage designer pieces that would make you delve a little further into your purse. Personally, I'm in love with the Christian Lacroix bag and vintage Valentino jacket! The white baby doll dress, vintage beige mac, black lace top, cream forties style dress and cream pleated skirt are all things that I would definitely wear as there is nothing stereotypically vintage about them. They look fitting with some of the trend today and the fact that they harbour a story behind them makes them much more interesting than the fast fashion available at our local clothing stores.

  1. Good to see vintage that isn't floral tea dresses! I love the white smock and the boxy jacket, they'd fit very well into my wardrobe!
